Aspen Mixon

I am a senior at University of Texas at Austin pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Rhetoric and Writing, and a Math Teaching Certificate for grades 4th through 8th with the UTeach program. I'm completing my final semester of college as a student teacher at O. Henry Middle School in Austin ISD.

I had always wanted to be a teacher because I love to teach and help people learn, and I love working with kids! Middle school especially is such an important time for kids both personally and academically, and a lot of students at that age decide they don't like or can't do math. I hope to help students become more confident and prepared in math -- and in themselves -- as they head into higher grades.
